Precision Metal Fabrication
Custom-formed sheet metal components built to exact specification — parapet caps, flashing systems, gutters, downspouts, and architectural trim that protect your exterior envelope for decades.
What We Build
Fabrication Capabilities
Every component is custom-formed in our Sacramento shop using commercial-grade metal and precision brake equipment — built to fit your project exactly.
Parapet Caps & Coping
Custom-formed metal caps that seal and protect parapet walls from water infiltration. Available in galvanized steel, aluminum, and copper with standing seam or flat-lock profiles.
Key Advantages
- Prevents water intrusion at wall tops
- Custom-fit to any parapet width
- Available in multiple metals and finishes
- Integrates with existing flashing systems
Best For
Commercial buildings, flat-roof homes, and any parapet wall requiring watertight protection
The APCG Difference
Why Custom Fabrication Matters
Exact-Fit Precision
Off-the-shelf components leave gaps. Custom-fabricated metal is measured and formed to your exact dimensions, eliminating the leak points that cause costly water damage.
Commercial-Grade Materials
We use 24-gauge and 26-gauge galvanized steel, .032 aluminum, and 16-oz copper — the same materials specified on commercial projects, not the thin-gauge stock found at big-box stores.
WUI Fire Code Compliance
Our metal soffit vents, flashing, and gutter systems are fabricated to meet California's Wildland-Urban Interface construction standards — protecting your home and your insurance rating.
In-House Fabrication
Our Sacramento shop means faster turnaround, tighter tolerances, and no third-party markup. We measure, form, and install — one crew, one point of accountability.
Seamless Integration
Metal fabrication is built into our siding, stucco, and fire-hardening scopes. Flashing, caps, and trim are fabricated and installed as part of a complete exterior system — not an afterthought.
Decades of Service Life
Properly installed commercial-grade metal components outlast the building materials they protect. Galvanized steel lasts 40+ years; copper is essentially permanent.
How It Works
Our Fabrication Process
From field measurement to finished installation, every metal component is built and installed by our own crew — no subcontractors, no surprises.
Field Measurement & Assessment
Our estimator takes precise field measurements of every component — parapet widths, flashing angles, gutter runs, and soffit depths. We document existing conditions and identify any substrate issues before fabrication begins.
Material Selection & Specification
We recommend the right metal, gauge, and finish for your application, climate exposure, and budget. Galvanized steel, aluminum, and copper each have specific performance profiles — we help you choose correctly.
Shop Fabrication
Components are formed in our Sacramento shop on commercial brake equipment. Seamless gutters are rolled on-site at your project. Every piece is checked against field measurements before it leaves the shop.
Substrate Preparation
Before any metal is installed, we inspect and repair the underlying substrate. Rotted wood, failed caulk, and deteriorated flashing tape are addressed — metal installed over a bad substrate fails prematurely.
Precision Installation
Our installation crew follows manufacturer and code-required fastening patterns, lap dimensions, and sealant specifications. Flashing is integrated with the water-resistive barrier and cladding system for a complete assembly.
Final Inspection & Warranty
Every installation is inspected for fit, fastening, and sealant coverage before we leave the site. We provide a written workmanship warranty and documentation of all materials installed.

Our Commitment
Why Choose APCG for Metal Fabrication
In-House Shop & Crew
We fabricate and install with our own team. No subcontractors means tighter tolerances, faster scheduling, and one point of accountability from measurement to final inspection.
Integrated Exterior Scopes
Metal fabrication is built into our siding, stucco, and fire-hardening projects. Flashing, caps, and trim are designed as part of the system — not added on after the fact.
California WUI Expertise
We understand CAL FIRE's Wildland-Urban Interface requirements for non-combustible construction. Our metal components are specified and installed to meet or exceed current code.
Commercial-Grade Materials Only
We don't use builder-grade thin-gauge stock. Every project gets commercial-specification metal — the same materials used on schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings.
15+ Years Sacramento Experience
We've fabricated and installed metal components on 500+ Sacramento-area projects. We know the local climate, the common failure points, and how to build systems that last.
Transparent Pricing
Every estimate includes a detailed scope of materials, gauges, finishes, and labor. No hidden charges, no vague line items — you know exactly what you're getting before work begins.
